What to Expect
Immediately After Treatment
You may experience mild swelling or bruising at the treated areas. These effects should resolve within 24–48 hours.
Results Timeline
- Botox: Results show within 7–14 days, smoothing wrinkles and lines.
- Dermal Filler: Immediate results, with continued improvement over the next 1–2 weeks as the filler settles and integrates into the skin.
Botox Post-Treatment Care
- For the first 24 hours after treatment, avoid touching or massaging the areas where Botox was injected. This helps ensure that the Botox settles properly and reduces the risk of spreading to unintended areas.
- It’s common to experience some mild redness or swelling at the injection site immediately after treatment. These symptoms usually resolve within a few hours to a couple of days.
- You can resume most of your normal activities immediately after your Botox treatment. However, avoid strenuous exercise or activities that may cause excessive sweating for 24 hours post-treatment.
Filler Post-Treatment Care
- Similar to Botox, refrain from touching, pressing, or massaging the treated area for at least 24 hours to prevent the filler from shifting.
- A mild redness or swelling is normal, and it typically resolves within a few hours or up to a few days. In some cases, bruising can occur but should also fade after a few days.
- You can resume most of your normal activities right after filler treatment. However, avoid excessive facial movement or rubbing the treated areas for 24 hours to allow the filler to settle properly.
Long-Term Results
- Botox lasts 3–4 months, with results gradually softening dynamic wrinkles.
- Dermal fillers typically last 9–18 months, depending on the area treated and product used.
